Alfa Romeo GTV It's difficult not to love Alfa Romeo's Giulia Quadrifoglio. In spite of the sports sedan's tragic reliability record, it's still an absolute joy to drive and looks incredible. Who wouldn't want that in even sexier form, like, say, a two-door coupe? Good news! One is on its way, and it will resurrect the iconic GTV name and add electrification to the the Quadrifoglio's 505-hp twin-turbo V-6. Expect up to 600 horsepower.

Now a days, a self-driving car is not new for all and its totally commercial. The research project was kicked into life by the 2004 DARPA Urban Challenge and then taken up as a business proposition, first by Alphabet, and later by the big automakers. Among the roboticists who have been involved from the start are Gill Pratt, the chief executive officer of Toyota Research Institute (TRI) , formerly a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); and Wolfram Burgard, vice president of automated driving technology for TRI and president of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society. The duo spoke with IEEE Spectrum’s Philip Ross at TRI’s offices in Palo Alto, Calif.

Apple is launching a car. The launching date is expected in 2024. The manufacturing collaboration will be between Apple and Hyundai. This could be a self-driving car or a semi-autonomous car. The design of this car is not published at yet but some analyst has published the expected design. The original vision of an "Apple Car" that would detect its driver via fingerprint and then drive them anywhere had transitioned from a partially autonomous car to something more ambitious. However, another factor that may have pulled Apple away from its own car is the automotive supply chain. While Apple is used to being able to exert heavy control over suppliers for devices like the iPhone, the company may have discovered that auto parts makers would be less eager to commit to an "Apple Car," given the deeper expenses involved, and Apple likely producing vehicles in small initial numbers.
